• Schlitterbahn, a water park that has been in existence for many years just south of Austin, is planning a water park in Cedar Park just north of Austin.
• Austin City Council has apaproved incentives contracts to bring Facebook and Yingli to Austin
• Cedar Park completed its Cedar Park Center, home to the American Hockey League's Texas Stars and venue for many popular events.

APRIL 2010

• Forbes names Austin, Texas and Washington D.C. tied in first place for leading recovery from economic recession.
• Samsung was scheduled to complete its chip plant expansion in March and will hire 200 imployees.
• Job growth in the Austin metro area will attract renters from other areas of the country hard hit by the recession.
• LegalZoom.com is considering creating a regional office in the Austin area.
• A northern Michigan medical device company is expanding to Austin.
• Capital Metro is in final tests for metro rail from Leander to downtown Austin.
